- Wine region: Champagne: Reims
The outstanding quality and elegance of Louis Roederer Champagne are the result of two centuries of dedication in making only the finest wines. Mr. Louis Roederer himself set the highest standards - and subsequently his descendants, who still control the company, have never wavered from his ideals.
Louis Roederer Champagne is the result of using only the finest grapes and the inclusion in the cuvee of wines from Louis Roederer Reserve Wine Cellar. Vintage wines are matured slowly in huge oak casks for at least five years. Before that, they are blended into the company's famous cuvees. The inclusion of these specially selected older wines gives the wine the roundness and depth which is the hallmark of Louis Roederer Champagne.
Created from the wines of a minimum of four different vintages. It is an ideal blend of 56% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier. Matured in bottle for at least four years, Brut Premier has a perfect balance and a rich, fruity bouquet.
Considered today as being the culmination of Louis Roederer's quest for perfection. In 1876, Tsar Alexander II demanded that his personal cuvee be presented in inimitables crystal bottles. It is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay.
