Cloudy Bay tasting - All wines

Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc may be one of the most sought after wines on the high street - it has something of a cult following - but Cloudy Bay itself is about much more than this particular white wine (writes Christelle Guibert). In fact, Sauvignon Blanc is my least favourite of the Cloudy Bay range. To my mind, it’s over-rated and over-priced, and I can think of a dozen other New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc to recommend at a fraction of its price. In contrast, Cloudy Bay Pelorus NV is one of the best value sparkling wines on the shop shelves, and their Te Koko is a world apart - it doesn't exactly taste of Sauvignon and could come from anywhere in the world, but it's an interesting wine and has a lot on offer, definitely a wine to try. The Chardonnay and Riesling were my two favourite wines of the range. Both are beautifully balanced and weighty, and definitely great value for money.
