You could argue for this wine's inclusion purely on the basis of its constituents - strange bedfellows indeed (it also includes a dash of Syrah and Viognier). But it works. The nose is punchy with cherry, mint and earthy notes, and in the mouth there's a high level of ripe, plummy fruit. Drink up to 2010. £8.99
