Babich produced its first bottle in 1916, and is now one of New Zealand's most important wineries. Its 2006 Sauvignon has gooseberry notes on the nose plus crunchy green beans and a twist of lime. The palate adds a tropical edge and a balancing streak of minerality. Drink up to 2009. £6.95
