The late Giacomo Bologna devoted his life to proving Barbera could be as great as Barolo. This has a deep velvety colour, smooth black cherry fruit with spice and liquorice from the oak, and marvellous depth and grip on the finish. A brilliant single-vineyard wine. Drink 5-10 years.
