Strong Bordeaux reds at this price hardly litter the ground, but if you don't expect classed-growth quality you shouldn't be disappointed. It's a well-directed and fresh offering, showing clean, curranty fruit with herbal edging and a slight citrus-rind note. Drink 2009. (£6.92)
