Tasting notes
29/03/2002
(Blend of 52% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc. The Grand Vin represents 50% of the total crop.) Really fine deep colour, very polished and very attractive ripeness of fruit, really lovely expression, balanced and very pure, a wine with finesse rather than intensity. Commercial director Jean-Philippe Delmas described 2001 as 'not as good as 2000, for we had a few problems at the end of the harvest, but better than 1999.'
