Tasting notes
10/02/2010
Dense, inky purple/ruby colour. Fresh, blackcurrant and cherry-scented nose, with hints of coffee and spice. Palate silky on attack, with a weight of rich, crunchy fruit and fine-grained tannins. Very good. Mouthfilling tannins, but not harsh. Spicy fruit core. Very savoury and fresh on the finish, with chocolately richness. Lovely balance and weight. Elegant, fine, delicious. Good length. 14.3% alcohol doesn%u2019t show. Blend 59% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Cabernet Franc 55% of production went into the grand vin 2016-46.
