Tasting notes

Muted cherry/redcurrant nose, oaky. Has power and weight, splendid fruit and bracing acidity. A bit one-dimensional, but plenty of vigour and length. Drink from 2008.

Rich, golden colour. Huge nose, with masses of apricotty botytis, complex and delicious just to smell. Palate is very rich, honeyed and silky-textured. Very sweet (220g/l residual sugar), but with wonderfully balanced citrussy acidity and only a moderate alcohol (12.5%). Powerful, refined, top-class wine. An ordinary price for an extraordinary wine.
