Dark red. Nose mainly toasty oak but quite complex, with brooding dark fruit evident underneath. Palate has a moderate weight of appealing cedary fruit and firm but ripe tannins. Austere but stylish. Serious. Drink 2014-24.

Deep dense colour, concentration of leafy blackcurrant fruit, succulent and full of flavour,
quite approachable crunchy gourmand fruit, backed by a precise, crystal-clear expression of
vineyard length, big wine but no hint of heaviness, superb structure and balance, triumphantly
successful. Drink 2015-50. (19.5 points)
