Tasting notes

Exotic, spicy and rich. Very explosive Cabernet fruit. Deep spice and ripe, almost chocolatey flavour. Really smooth and rich, very good balance for depth of fruit. Drink 2009-20.

(Blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. The Grand Vin will represent two thirds of the total crop). Huge colour, really intense and black, big tobaccoey nose with lots of cassis fruit, already explosive on the nose with great richness on the palate, but a firm structured finish. Will turn out very complex and perhaps finer than the more voluptuous 2000.
