Tasting notes

outstanding quality
one to cellar

This was the vintage that Barone Francesco Ricasoli had been waiting for since he regained control of the family estates in 1993. If Lafite, Mouton and Latour were amalgamated into one Pauillac estate,

Huge colour. Fine, robust fruit and very pure chestnutty flavours sing through with an almost explosive force, finishing with elegance and power. Could be enjoyed now, but this is really a five-to-ten year wine.

Rustic nose with wild strawberry bouquet and hints of violets. Robust, with good complexity, firm tannic structure. Very well-integrated oak.
