This 98 came out top at a recent Christie's tasting, with eight Corton-Charlemagnes ranging from 1998 to 1988. It is still pale in colour, wonderful fresh looking for it

Still pale in colour, wonderful fresh looking for its years, and showing a really lovely honeyed and floral fruit, rather citrussy and backed by the stony minerality that is so typical of this superb estate.
