Tasting notes

10/02/2013

Ripe, oaky nose, raspberries and cranberries. Sleek, intense, elegant, tight and concentrated. Firm tannins underlie the fruit but are not touch or extracted. This has purity and complexity and a fine texture. Very long (Stephen Brook). Bright, attractive, open, clean, complex and fresh; rich wine, well-rounded, beautiful fruit concentration, fresh yet soft, long finish (Anthony Hanson MW). Classy bouquet. It is quite tightly wound, with oak restraining the fruit, though this will come right in time. The potential is there thanks to the impressive intensity of dark fruit. the svelte finish is very impressive (Jaspar Morris MW) Alc: 13.5%. Drink 2013-2030. 18.5pts/20 (95pts/100)
