The Coteaux du Giennois appellation is situated a few miles to the north of the distinctly more glamorous Sancerre. While this doesn%u2019t have as much punch or class as a good offering from that region, it does boast an attractive, forward nose that's both broad and soft. Substantial lees stirring has given this wine more depth on the palate, too, but the bright green fruit provides enough lift to carry the wine.
