Brash and young, this seems to be trying to compete with the New World - and it succeeds. It's drenched in juicy, primary Grenache fruit with a fine sprinkling of herbs. Not complex but, as this price, it's hard to beat for its crowd-pleasing credentials. Drink 2009. (£5.79)
