Creamy but still with strong acidity. Rustic but nice. Drink 2006.

Possibly the best-value Champagne to have crossed our lips in recent time. This has both delicacy and presence with a creamy mouthfeel that is punctuated by a fine, prickly mousse. You could do far worse than purchasing a couple of cases with Christmas 2008 in mind. Drink up to 2011. £15.95

A rich Pinot Noir nose and a generous, well-rounded palate with a seam of refreshing citrus fruit. A bargain from the Aube.

Golden Champagne, serious yet a crowd-pleaser from a top eco-friendly domaine near Les Riceys; clarity of Pinot fruit, weighty yet spritely, a mini 'Bollinger Grande Année'.
