Tim Triptree is a Director at Christie’s and Senior Specialist in the Wine Department. Tim joined Christie’s Wine Department in 2005 after graduating with an MBA Distinction in Wine Business Management. In 2008, Tim passed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust Diploma, gaining a Distinction and was awarded the Sherry Institute Scholarship and Constellation Scholarship. From January 2013 to December 2016, Tim worked at Christie’s Hong Kong until returning to London in January 2017.

Tim was awarded the Trinity Champagne Scholarship in 2009 from the Institute of Masters of Wine and is currently working on his Research Paper for the MW qualification having successfully passed the Theory and Practical examinations. He has a particular interest in wines from France, especially Champagne (which is the topic of his MW research) Rhône, Burgundy and Bordeaux.

Tim has been a judge at the International Wine & Spirit Competition since 2011, the Decanter World Wine Awards since 2017 and at the Bacchus Wine International Competition 2018.
