For something sparkling, try Château Martinolles’ classic Blanquette de Limoux made from the traditional Mauzac grape variety grown throughout south west France or the light and spritzy, lower-alcohol Txakolis from Hiruzta.
A New World Zinfandel from California and a Bordeaux-blend from Argentina are also worth seeking out for immediate enjoyment as is a superb, full-bodied, complex Manzanilla matured for 12 years and bottled en rama.
