Domaine d'Eugenie

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Delicate raspberry nose, with integrated oak; has charm. Rich, super-ripe, rounded, but balanced by good acidity; lively and peppery, with ample freshness and zest. Yet it seems a bit simple and I don’t find many nuances or layers of flavour. Nonetheless, a very good wine, with a delicate tannic structure that gives considerable length.

vibrant youthful purple;
raspberry aromas, elegant,with fine oak, complex;
full, rich ample wine, with rich, elegant tannins, good length, fresh.

Tasting: Vosne-Romanee 2010

Vivid bright purple colour. The nose shows ripe black cherries, while the fruit is both ripe, dense and multi-layered on the palate. There’s a great deal in reserve. Though acidity and tannins are surely present, the fruit is the winner.
