Quartz Reef, Methode Traditionnelle Rosé NV
Central Otago is renowned for the Burgundy-baiting quality of its Pinot Noir, so it is no surprise that Quartz Reef have made a successful sparkling rosé from the grape. Light red fruit aromas and an intense palate of succulent raspberry and spice are complemented by a pithy grapefruit zest acidity. The Methode Traditionnelle process gives the mousse a smoothness and lends weight to the wine, and there is a hint of lees creaminess in the background.
