Stephen Brook

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Solid oaky nose, but also stewed. Broad, juicy, very ripe and perhaps a bit too ripe, though balanced by good acidity. There’s a trace of alcohol on the aftertaste, and a rather sweet finish. There’s plenty of fruit here but it would soon become fatiguing. Moderate length.

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Fine nose, cedar box and ripe blackberry, little harsh oak, fresh bright palate, clean fruits and solid tannins, youthful but will age well.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Black-red, purple rim, very concentrated black berry fruits on the nose, good vigourous fruit and very good depth, lots of tannin but this is good for the long-term and oak well-blended in, very good sweet middle palate, very good wine for the mid to long-term.
