Lumière, Hikari Koshu 2015
Lumière are the oldest family-owned winery in Japan, founded in 1885. They received a Japanese Royal Warrant in 1918, and even have their own French inspired restaurant. This wine has a subtle apple nose that leads into a crisp palate of green apple and gooseberry. It has a surprisingly full mouthfeel, thanks to six months spent on the lees, with a long but simple finish. A good alternative to Loire Sauvignon.
