Stephen Brook

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Subdued nose but there seems to be ample black fruits lurking. Plump, firm, concentrated, this has weight and structure, with ripe tannins and some fresh acidity. Thus should have more staying power than most and needs some time to harmonise. Good length. Drink

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Delicate nose, some graphite and tobacco, dark fruits, touch of smoky oak. Balanced palate with harmonious tannin and acidity, and layers of bright fruit. Good length.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Crus Bourgeois 2010

Deep purple-red, youthful violet rim, ripe berry fruits on the nose with a hint of bitter chocolate and a little smoky oak, good concentration and depth of fruit to match it, very good vineyard ripeness and nice firm elegance on the finish, already showing the class to come, but needs 18 months to knit.
