Bouchard Pere & Fils

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Brisk citric nose, lime and green apples, has charm. Medium-bodied, almost delicate, but fresh and lacy, with a silky texture and ample concentration. Closed in its fruit expression now, but has an appealing raciness and great finesse. Good length, mineral finish.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Really pure nose; focused, with zesty citrus and wet stones. The palate is taut, with lovely lines and saline minerals. This has lovely purity and the oak is nicely managed.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Finely lifted white and yellow fruits and seems almost the essence of Genevrieres. Dry herbs, dry honey and superb concentration without excess, both rich and vibrant fruit, floral, fruity, rich, mineral, complex. The alcohol shows a bit but this is a very good wine for now or for keeping.
