Chateau de Cîteaux

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Muted nose. Rich, broad, sumptuous, packed with fruit and nicely concentrated, with a mineral edge to keep the wine lively. A hedonistic style, with very ripe fruit and just a slight lack of acidity to drive through to the finish. Good length.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

The nose is attractive with peach, pear and freshly cut hay. The palate is rich with layers of flavour and a smoky, flinty edge. The acidity is really lovely and linear. The finish is long and textured.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Attractive dry herb nose, with lemony and slightly creamy fruit. Very good depth of fruit, also very rich and rounded, high natural acidity balances it out to a certain extent, but the wine is already a bit massive and does not have the potential for much complexity and elegance.
