Domaine des Comtes Lafon

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Rich and very oaky nose, with a whiff of stewed apricots. Plump, plenty of upfront fruit, juicy, oaky, a style with swagger rather than finesse, but balanced by quite good acidity. Fairly long finish, with some mineral tones.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Creamy and toasty nose, ripe yellow peach and apricot. Rich palate with the toasty oak backing up the fruit, and a nice mineral backbone giving a refreshing, and long finish.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Citrussy elements dominate the nose, but there is good ripe fruit behind this. Still rather restrained and lemony, but should open up; a classy wine, a bit all over the place at the moment, but will come right.
