Domaine des Comtes Lafon

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Reticent but oaky nose lacks some lift. Good attack on the palate, concentrated and fresh, much livelier than the nose, tight and precise, with a long lemony finish and impeccable balance.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

The nose is intense, with yellow fruits, straw and spices. The palate is full bodied, the oak is toasty and smoky and not yet fully intergrated but lots of potential here. Long and complex finish.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Vibrant, citrussy nose, with white flowers, and both white and yellow summer fruits on the palate. A very attractive balance of citrussy fruits and natural ripeness, with fruit acidity just adding to the freshness and potential complexity. Already attractive, but still has a certain reserve and the minerality on the finish guarantees a long future.
