Domaine Roulot

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Robust oaky nose, lime. Rich, creamy, full-bodied, a luxurious style, has Charmes typicity but retains considerable freshness and elegance. It could use a bit more bite and edge, but it’s harmonious and attractive. Long.

Gearoid Devaney

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

The oak is dominant on the nose, almost reductive. The palate shows some acidity and texture with good spicy oak. Needs more time but there is a good wine here with a long finish.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Light dry herbs and light honey nose, citrussy elements dominant. Very vibrant fruit, slightly exotic but lifted by excellent acidity. A modern, lean style Charmes, citrussy at the moment, but this will broaden out into classic Meursault fruit over time.
