Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Very ripe fruit and ample oak on the nose, which is overall a bit confected. Rich, plump, and sensuous, a creamy voluptuous style though with just enough acidity to keep it from being heavy-handed or too obvious. Still, not a subtle style and one that may lack some complexity. For hedonists, but has enough backbone to keep it going, Good length.

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Lots of ripe yellow peach and apricot on the nose. The palate is open and has a fruity style with smoky oak and texture. A good wine but lacking some zip for me.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Meursault 1er Cru 2010

Fine yellow fruits and dry herbs on nose. A restrained but very fine expression of Meursault Genevrieres with the firmness and grip of this Cru. Quite broad flavours, rich but with good acidity and more richness than the 13% alcohol would suggest; long and elegant.
