Brandlin, Mount Veeder, Napa Valley, 2009

  • Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Drink: 2013 - 2025

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque red. Intense plummy nose, with a balsamic edge. Plump and luxurious, quite chocolaty from the oak, and very concentrated. Rugged and peppery, and with enough acidity to give some persistence. Nonetheless a bit of a blunt instrument that lacks a little freshness and finesse.

Yohann Jousselin MS

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Great complexity of ripe red fruits followed by a meaty touch and great acidity, which creates a perfect balance with the alcohol.

David Motion

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Modern, concentrated. A very pure sense of fruit carries through every stage. Sweet.
