This vineyard was entirely pulled up in 2000, rested for seven years and replanted in 2007. Today it stands at just 4ha, run by the Beaumartin family of Château Laroque in St-Emilion, and is located close to Château Olivier in Léognan. The blend here is 56% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc. The soft tannic structure of the young wines is clear, and the soft plum fruits are very attractive, but both alcohol and acidity are fairly high. Young vines are likely to have struggled a little with the 2014 growing season, this is one to watch for future years.
