Bosco Agostino, Volupta, Barbera d’Alba, Piedmont, 2010

  • Grape Variety: Barbera
  • Drink: 2013 - 2016

Bosco Agostino

Andrea Bricarello

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Modern and upfront, this wines shows great intensity and a very rich, dark chocolaty, core. Stylish and appealing, it has a great, complex, plump, red fruit mid-palate followed by a dark spicy aftertaste. Great complexity and amazing structure.

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Muted black cherry nose that opened beautifully with aeration to show floral characters too. Broad and lush, with fine weight of fruit without being heavy-handed. Has limpidity and freshness thanks to fine acidity and the texture is sleek, and ingratiating. Long, pure, and racy on the finish.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Almost aromatic nose of pure red berry and dark plum aromas bolstered by cloves and Christmas spices , then similar flavours with cinnamon and nutmeg.
