Cascina Bongiovanni

Andrea Bricarello

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Violets and mineral aromas with hints of menthol. Rich and intense with lots of cooked fruits and jammy notes. a bit tight and rustic on the finish

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Very deep ruby-red. Rich, voluptuous oaky nose, black fruits and a touch of chocolate. Plump and opulent, with fine weight of fruit and an overall succulence that’s balanced by freshness and zip. The oak is prominent on nose and palate, but well handled. Good length.

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Barbera d’Alba

Deep ruby. Closed nose of red berries, plums and minerals on the nose. Then brightly tannic and with lively acids pinning the red fruit into the background. Lovely long and pure. There’s sneaky concentration here and very fine winemaking. For early drinking.
