Domaine Pradelle

Stephen Brook

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Very rich nose, hint of fruitcake, the riper end of the spectrum. Broad, fleshy, plump, assertive, a bit raw and furry. But has weight and power, as well as hefty but ripe tannins. A bit over the top, but a good wine that should evolve well. Long, with espresso on the finish.

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Elegant nose of black fruit, pepper and more than a hint of southern sunshine; en bouche the wine is poised with firm acidity underwriting a lively mid-palate profile ; savoury elements are nicely integrated with finely-knit tannin and notes of tobacco and flint adding to the interest of the ensemble.

Tasting: Crozes-Hermitage 2010

Brewed black fruit aroma that is holding back its promise; palate is dark, a little moody, but I like its wavy black fruit, ripples through it with some style. Closes down into a circle of leather, black raisin, tannin. Good structure, a Crozes that can evolve, best with foods. Has a granite minerality on aftertaste.
