Mar de Frades, Algareiro, Rias Baixas, Galicia, 2011

  • Grape Variety: Albariño
  • Drink: 2015 - 2020

Mar de Frades

Ferran Centelles

Tasting: Albariño

The epitome of Albariño in the glass. Truly a classy example of the potential of this grape variety. Revealing the essence of minerality and sea aromas. It has 3 and 4 years of a very positive development. Very concentrated.

John Radford

Tasting: Albariño

Straw, pale green-gold in appearance. Gentle, subtle, green fruit aromas but lovely rich gooseberry fruit on fore. Clean, fresh mid-palate with warmth and depth, and good fresh fruit on the finish. Delicious.

Sarah Jane Evans MW

Tasting: Albariño

Bright primrose yellow, faintest hint of CO2 in glass. Attractively honeyed aromas, light note of pineapple. Palate is rich and supple, vivid with lemon curd, pineapple, and mango, with undercurrent of freshness running through
