Tasting: St. Emilion Grand Cru & Premier Grand Cru Classe

Spicy, lively oaky nose, black cherries, quite stylish. Medium-bodied, supple, but has ripe underlying tannins, not a blockbuster and has more elegance than power. Yet a bit underwhelming for the vintage, though it’s balanced and quite long.

Lively and fresh on the nose. Attractive red and dark berry fruit. Beautifully balanced wine with delicious fruit, firm tannins and thirst-quenching freshness on the palate.

Quite ripe red and black fruits nose. Smooth and ripe black fruits on the palate, natural tannins and still some acidity; a straightforward wine with some complexity.
