Manufacturer:
Château Trotte Vieille, Grand Cru Classé, St-Émilion, Bordeaux 2006
This is a little upfront in its charms, there is dark cherry ripeness but the oak is a touch on the vanilla side. A contemporary styled 2006, aged in 100% new oak, tannins are still present but starting to integrate well. Things slide a touch abruptly to the finish. Can see the pleasure, good potential today with some carafing, and over the next decade.
The field blend is 55% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown over 10 hectares.
