Tasting: UK Sparkling

Excellent, classic complexity – loads of developed, toasty richness on the nose and freshly baked cooking apple fruit. Exemplary – has the typically English acidic backbone plus all the best features of maturing champagne.

Tasting: UK Sparkling

Loads of mousse still there 20 mins after pouring. Attractive mid gold colour Baked apples on the nose, and some real fat ripeness and flavour. The maturity renders this almost honeyed, with a very attractive drinking style that will please the crowds as well as the cognoscenti

Stephen Skelton

Tasting: UK Sparkling

Full yeast-filled nose. Colour on the dark side. Full initially, but tails off and finishes quite weakly. Does not have the punchy ripe-citrus character of really great UK Chardonnay.
