Bolla, Tufaie, Soave Classico, Veneto, 2011

Ian D'Agata

Tasting: Soave

Dark straw yellow. Intense yellow apple, pear liqueur, and flowers on nose. Then rich creamy and very long with perfect balance of fruit flavors and mouth-coating texture. Like a fresh fruit cocktail but lots of acidity to buffer and lift. Outstanding.

Michael Garner

Tasting: Soave

Full straw gold. Big ripe melon and ginger nose. Round and full with developing mineral notes. Interesting big, ripe, mineral flavours with a juicy finish. Stylish.

Jane Hunt MW

Tasting: Soave

Mineral and waxy at the same time with some bready, herbaceousness too! Has layers of character all very classic for Soave. Very crisp acidity and some leanness on the palate which rather limits the expectations from the nose but a pleasing wine nevertheless.
