Tasting: Soave

Golden straw yellow. Subdued ripe tropical and yellow fruit aromas and flavours. Sweet balanced creamy palate but with lively acidity. Aromatic herbs, caramel, could use a bit more fruit. Finishes a touch bitter and vegetal.

Full-mid gold. Strong oak aromas. Medium-full palate with soft, ripe fruit flavours. Oak and butterscotch to the finish.

Rich light golden colour. Light toffee fruit on nose indicative of lots of oak use. Oak tannins make this wine pointless. Where is the creamy, waxy character of Garganega? Disappointing.
