William Downie

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Clear to mid-depth of red. Another softly and provocatively resonant wine with a beautiful synthesis of oak and fruit. Lovely orchestral scents, but understated: this is slow-movement, adagio stuff. On the palate, it is a little simpler, more evident and more fruit-driven than that wonderfully classy nose suggested, but it’s still poised and fresh and a great example of the vintage. Of it’s place, too: the fruit is a legacy of the light.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Sweet, savoury nose, plums and ripe spices. Rich and lingering, a gorgeous, ripe, mouth-filling experience. Can be drunk now whilst young but will be stunning with age.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Perfumed and clean, fruit-driven nose. Silky, elegant but powerful on the palate. Long, juicy raspberries and vanilla aftertaste.
