Bouchard Pere et Fils

Michael Schuster

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Fruity, ripe nose. Full-ish, ripe fruited, firmly tannic; plenty of ripe fruit here, but also gripped by a firm fruit and oak tannin, and so finishing a bit abrupt for the fruit quality., Good-ish, lesser 1er Cru quality, good medium length and needs time.

Steven Spurrier

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Good deep colour, young rim. Fresh and vibrant summer fruits on the nose and good ripeness and depth on the palate. Some spiciness there and oak still present, but good structure and length, and a good future.

Sebastian Thomas

Tasting: Volnay 1er Cru 2010

Attractive, perfumed red fruit nose. Good precision and depth on the palate, with ripe crunchy fruit, good texture and some depth. Fine minerality and tannins, and good length on the finish.
