Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat, Vosne-Romanée
Charles Hudelot took over from his grandfather Alain in 2008 and works 6ha over 10 appellations. This village wine is made from some of the youngest vines, planted in 1982 (most of the other vineyards are from the 1950s or 1920s). Perfumed and charming, it has strawberry and delicate red cherry fruit characters. The palate is succulent with silky tannins and nice weight. Compared to the Les Beaumonts 1er Cru, this offers excellent value.
