Devil's Lair

Roger Jones

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Delicate nose, liquorice palate, clean intense fruit, still evolving. Intensity of fruit is excellent and is currently covering the tannins, soft delicate oak ripples through the background.

Pierre Mansour

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep. Attractive, herbaceous/fragrant cabernet nose, earthy too, quite complex. Structural, punchy style, chewy ripe tannins, well-balanced, great persistence of fruit. A certain old-world feel to this.

Anthony Rose

Tasting: Coonawarra & Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon

Good youthful colour, attractively sweet dark cassis and mulberry fragrance, lovely fruit freshness, intensity and purity with a silky textural quality thanks to fine-grained tannins, sub-threshhold oak and bright mulberry-like savoury acidity; a really well-made Margaret River red that’s stood the test of time and should continue to do so for a while yet.
