Bodegas Robalino

Mike Ritchie

Tasting: Bierzo Mencia

Bright dark fruit aromas, some meaty notes too, satisfyingly rich and full-bodied on the palate, tannins fine grained and the finish bright and vibrant, a complete wine.

Pedro Ballesteros

Tasting: Bierzo Mencia

Some development in nose, although with nice fruit behind. Opens up with elegance in very peculiar animal tones, nice. A bit vinous, but opens up showing velvety tannins and fruit balancing the relevant alcohol. Open finish.

Sarah Jane Evans

Tasting: Bierzo Mencia

Concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits with a lively lift of citrus. Equally intense impression in the palate: bold, ripe black fruits, herbal highlights, balancing freshness, fine tannins for Mencía. Finish is long, spicy, warm, and slightly dry.
