Canava Roussos, Nykteri, 2008

  • Grape Variety: Assyrtiko
  • Drink: 2013 - 2018

Canava Roussos

Sarah Jane Evans MW

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Herbal, smoky character; no apparent fruit on the nose. Persistent Assyrtiko acidity, now slightly tamed by age, and balanced with bitter lemon marmalade notes. Long, concentrated finish, though alcohol stands a little apart. Complex and interesting.

Nico Manessis

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Green tints. Has a polished, almost Burgundian gloss, this is like Puligny on the Aegean.

Igor Sotric

Tasting: Greek Assyrtiko

Developing with a pronounced fruit expression – stone and tropical in character. Red apples, melon and nectarines with good texture.
