Stephen Brook

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Rich toasty nose, sumptuous black fruits. Very rich, plump, full-bodied, very concentrated, and tannic, with rather jagged acidity that is probably added. A bit of a bruiser but it certainly has ample fruit and swagger, and plenty of energy to carry through onto the finish, which is long.

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

A very ripe and sweet Cabernet. Shows intense, cooked black fruits followed by notes of cigar box, game and leather. On the finish the wine brings a vegetal note which also brings a touch of freshness.

Tasting: Napa & Sonoma Cabernet Sauvignon

Very sleek, modern nose of purple fruits and spices – cloves, black pepper. Plush, silky. There’s a savoury twist in there, to keep you interested. Modern. Very well-balanced. Polished.
