Vasse Felix, Heytesbury, 2011

  • Grape Variety: Chardonnay
  • Drink: 2015 - 2025

Vasse Felix

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Pale silver-gold. Partly nutty scents; partly library dust. Intense, deep, searching. There is some citrus perfume on the palate, and a little citrus zest too. Zingy, fresh finish. Bright, sweet, warm, subtropical; very typical of its place. Lime-gum flavours are what it leaves as it waves goodbye.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Limey and savoury, toasty brioche and hidden honey, lingers around, love the citrus flavours coming from pink grapefruit. Evolving – young and juvenile now, but will evolve. Soft buttery finish, elegant and exciting.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Western Australia Chardonnay

Ripe, complex and intense nose with lovely butterscotch and toasty oak notes. Rich and complex on the palate with plenty of fruit and creamy texture. Long crisp complex aftertaste.
