Wedgetail Estate

Andrew Jefford

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Deep red. Rather drying oaky here; lacks the sweet surrendering fruits of the best. Ditto on the palate; the rather abrupt fruit is struggling to engage with the oak, but the competition is intense, I have to say.

Roger Jones

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Love the red brick nose. Clean, fresh tantalising flavours, then a burst through of fruit liqueurs, which lingers whilst the creamy textures come through; a very clever, well restrained wine.

Alessandro Marchesan

Tasting: Tasmania & Victoria Pinot Noir

Raspberries and mint on the nose. Full bodied with juicy texture, well-integrated oak and a long, intense aftertaste. A stunning regional example with great depth of flavours and wonderful complexity.
